Getting great results with your digital camera requires the use of the right tools. Unlike standard film cameras, the flash system of digital cameras has unique features. A strobe designed to be compatible with those features will provide the results you are looking for. The YS-25DX was designed specifically for digital cameras. It synchronizes with a unique fiber optic cord for flood free connection. The fiber optic sync cord is customizable for a variety of digital camera housings for Canon, SONY, Olympus, Ikelite and Sea Life. The fiber optic cable transmits light from the cameras built in flash, so in a sense it works like a slave strobe. The special synchronization dial can be adjusted for the strobe to work as a standard slave or with "pre-flash cancellation" for digital cameras that utilize a pre-flash. The pre-lash cancellation can be adjusted for many different digital cameras so that the proper synchronization is achieved. The YS-25DX offers complete exposure control with a seven level power adjustment dial. This is especially helpful in standard and wide-angle photography where an automatic strobe would produce too much light. Lightweight and compact, the YS-25DX makes the ideal digital light package for all digital cameras.
Sea & Sea, for three decades the innovator in underwater lighting systems, once again breaks new ground with the revolutionary YS-90DX. Configured like its counterpart, the popular YS-90TTL Duo strobe, the YS-90DX is compact and lightweight, constructed of high-impact polycarbonate. It bears the same prism diffuser, projecting an ultra-wide, even beam.
The YS-120TTL Duo represented a milestone in flash technology. It was the world's first electronic strobe with internal circuitry that will automatically dedicate for TTL flash photography with both four-pin and five-pin connectors. The technology was so well-received that it became the forerunner of Sea & Sea's YS-30TTL Duo and YS-90TTL Duo strobes. Exposure control: Manual (Full, 1/2) and TTL Beam angle: 105º land Guide number (ISO 100, land): 72/22 (ft./m) (full power) Recycle time: (Full power/full charge): 2-3 sec. (ni-cad), 3-4 sec. (alkaline), 5 sec. (lithium) Number of flashes (full power): 280 (alkaline), 140 (ni-cad), 600 (lithium) Color temperature: 5100º K; 4800º K with diffuser Slave function: Built in Function indicators: Flash ready lamp (orange) and TTL confirmation lamp (green) (LED, Audible) Power source: 8 AA alkaline, lithium or ni-cad batteries Maximum depth: 60m/200 feet Weight: 2.2 lbs.
TTL performance with Nikonos V - Automatic TTL flash control provides optimum flash exposure Eliminates the blues - Beneath the waves, colors lose their brilliance and everything takes on a bluish tint. The SB-104 Speedlight in combination with the Nikonos V restores these dramatic hues. Powerful Guide Number - Guide Number of 33 (feet at ISO 100) Wide flash coverage - Covers picture angle of a 15mm underwater lens Take it to the extreme - Rugged design is made to withstand the pressure at 320 feet Wireless Slave Flash capability - Ability to use a second SB-105 with TTL control for added dimension and power that is so critical during close up photography Full range of accessories - Complete system of Sync Cords and Brackets providing total flash control (Shown with Nikonos body and lens, not included)
Strobe lighting is the key for richer colors and more dramatic impact in your photographs. The YS-20A Auto strobe is the perfect mate for the MX-5 II camera. It mounts conveniently to the side of the MX-5 II making the kit compact and easy to handle, and the Auto Sensor gets the light just right, every time. The YS-20A utilizes an optical triggering system to synchronize with the camera providing a flood-free connection. The MX-5 II and YS-20A are the ideal combination for the diver seeking an easy to use, compact diving camera. No dials, no decisions, just clear colorful pictures good enough to pass around and frame. Please note - image on left shows camera which is a seperately purchased item.
It represented a radical new development in flash technology. Introduced in 1997, it was (and still is) the world's smallest (it fits neatly into the palm of your hand), lightest (less than a pound), and submersible strobe that syncs for TTL flash photography in slave mode without a sync cord!
